Here is the interview: SMG: Mr Piemonte, tell us about how the partnrship between SMG and IDS-Scheer was born? Piemonte: We did our first project together at the beggining of 2005, acting at the Banco Santander, where we were looking foward to join IDS experience in processes with SMG expertise in marketing processes. The project was focused on improving intern marketing processes of Santander, it lasted about 3 months, with a team from both IDS and SMG allocated there. The searched goal was to improve all activities processes developed by the marketing area and obtain efficiency and maximum excellence of the services. SMG: It seems that was a work with good integration between teams. What were the results achieved, since we have a preview of this? Piemonte: We proposed a restructuration of many processes, ending with the redesign of many marketing activities. The results are still parcial, since the design created is still implanting, but we can say that were standardized a lot of procedures that were not organized. This will result in low costs and raise of the services quality. SMG: At all this project, where did the expertise was most usefull? Piemonte: SMG added value by the knowlegde of its consultants about how marketing works and specially, about how marketing shoud be structured to offer services in financial companies. SMG expertise in relationships was a great differential. SMG: Does the partnership between IDS and SMG continue? Piemonte: Yes, we have interest in developing new projects together, we have good perspectives. We believe that there are today a lot of medium and large size companies that need to structure their marketing processes, as a way of improving their acting and efficiency in markets that are getting more competitive.
